Our People

Ben Burns

PROJECT DIRECTOR
Ben is our project director and has over 10 years of experience in the industry. He is an NVQ level 4 qualified carpenter and started by working with a general contractor before branching out to work alone. He then took on two others to carry out larger jobs at a faster speed. Now, we have 12 vehicles, over 10 members of staff and are tendering for projects with a value over £750,000. Alium is growing exponentially, with our largest growth taking place through the pandemic.
Tori Burns

COMMERCIAL DIRECTOR
Tori is our commercial director, responsible for the running of the business. She graduated from the University of Birmingham and went into Maths teaching. After a year, and a love for numbers, she moved over to work for Alium to keep a close eye on the financials of the business, ensuring profitability wherever possible. Working in the family business has its challenges but as brother and sister, Ben and Tori are a great team with a love for the business and the projects.
